Beck Park
Beck joined Black Burke Mayor having previously practiced at a leading litigation firm in Vancouver. Beck is passionate about labour and social justice movements and human rights advocacy; and has experience litigating public interest matters in administrative, constitutional, and civil law contexts. Beck has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, and Beck completed a clerkship at the BC Supreme Court.
Beck brings a well-rounded perspective to their labour law practice. In addition to advocating for workers and unions, Beck maintains a prison law practice providing legal support to those who are incarcerated.
In all aspects of work and life, Beck is enthusiastic about collective action and community-building. Recognizing a need for more queer-friendly spaces in law, Beck started a collective and forum for LGBTQ2SIA+ members of the legal community in Vancouver.
